Massage Therapy Associates was founded in 1983 by Raymond Moriyasu, and is  fully-licensed by the state of Rhode Island.

Our goal is to provide therapeutic massage services to people of all ages and from all walks of life, as well as educate the community about the benefits of massage therapy.


Raymond T. Moriyasu, NCTMB, is a 1980 graduate of the Bancroft School of Massage in Worcester, MA and has a AB in Biological Sciences from Brown University (1972) and an MA in Agency Counselling from Rhode Island College (1977). He has further training in Polarity Therapy from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (1982) and Sotai. He is on the adjunct faculty at Salve Regina University (Holistic Counselling Program) and the Downeast School of Massage Therapy in Waldoboro, ME and also teaches through the Brown University Learning Community. Granted emeritus status in the American Massage Therapy Association (1995).

Paulette G. Bernasky, NCTMB, is a 1980 graduate of the Kinley Institute of Massage and Related Studies in Clark, NJ and taught there from 1981 to 1986. She is certified in Reflexology and has continuing education in Russian Massage and Polarity Therapy.
Kathy Wright, NCTMB, is a 1989 graduate of the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA and has a BA in Psychology from Rhode Island College (1999). She has additional training in medical massage from the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA as well as Russian Massage and has worked in rehabilitation and chiropractic settings.
Liza Bartlett graduated from the Bancroft School of Massage in 1993. She has had  a lifelong passion for the healing arts. Her work is intuitive, combining Swedish, shiatsu and deep tissue. She focuses on each individual to provide a massage suited just for their needs.
